and here is how you create it:

First, you need your HAM grid square. If you don't know it, go here and find out. Mine is EL95TQ40. This will be the center of your future map.

Then, you are going to need the same grid locations of all the contacts you want represented on the map. Enter them in text file, one per line, like this (the contacts I used for the map above, they are from my log):

FK77OR63
KN06cq
CN88rd
FN04JM76
EL29FG85
FK78ag
FI09st
FK68of
FK58bl
EJ88sp
IM76he
EL83tc
FN41gq
FM14qr
EM73xv
EM84be
EN63ad
...

Save the file. You probably going to need it in the future if you going to change/correct your map.

Now go here:http://www.opencontest.org/qsomap/ and fill in the blanks. Your call sign on top, then your grid square ID, then all your contacts grid IDs, one per line. Use copy-paste from the text file you just created. You should see something like this:

click "Generate" to create your map.

Finally I cut the image of the map presented above out of the screen using Windows app called "snipper.exe" and added a frame in Windows app called "irfanview.exe", but this is something everyone does her/his own way.

Dixi.
